E-cards are hardly sent at all, even today (data from the Greeting Card Association or something like that), so email messages must be even less likely to replace Christmas cards.<br /><br />Christmas seemed to do fine as a more commercialized holiday throughout the '70s, '80s, and even beginning of the '90s. Halloween is incredibly commercialized, but it's never been more popular. If you're late in posting cards, it's so easy to send the one email to all your family/ friends/ contacts<br /><br />another point.
