If blacks are using it to explain why their culture is marginalized, etc., then it's culture war fodder for them too.

If they're just using it as a way to put out their hand, then it's bread and butter. That's how lower-class blacks feel about it, although they don't vote. Blacks who go to college are the ones more likely to whine about white privilege in culture war terms.agnostichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12967177967469961883noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19346366.post-13024061657242307802017-04-16T20:24:46.451-04:002017-04-16T20:24:46.451-04:00"Nobody appreciates that the culture wars are..."Nobody appreciates that the culture wars are largely fought within the elite level, and that working-class people don't pay any mind to abortion, tranny bathrooms, white privilege, etc. They are focused on bread-and-butter issues"

I thought you did a great job awhile back pushing back on idea that Blacks only vote for the gibmedats, and don't vote on culture issues cuz too poor; oh, they care, they care very much. For them it's ethnic chauvinism ...how do you reconcile these two thoughts?

Don't want to sidetrack because this and the previous post are outstanding and need to be heard and debated.Dahlianoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19346366.post-78686485766455136692017-04-16T20:10:52.354-04:002017-04-16T20:10:52.354-04:00Ag, exactly what I've been thinking and goes h...Ag, exactly what I've been thinking and goes hand in hand with your previous post: expanding empire is a millstone around the neck of the People. And it will be a millstone around Trumps agenda or anything aimed at lifting the middle class.
The next election will be a referendum on how well Trump lifted up the working class.Dahlianoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19346366.post-22260529817131947432017-04-16T16:51:04.327-04:002017-04-16T16:51:04.327-04:00Ultimately it depends on how domestic policy shake...Ultimately it depends on how domestic policy shakes out in terms of Trump's chances in 2020. If people can't physically touch a border wall along Mexico by 2020, he's out. People aren't going to accept a "virtual wall" either.

I think the Syria strike is a big mistake but can easily be recovered as long as he keeps his eye on the ball, which are jobs and immigration.Random Dude on the Internetnoreply@blogger.com
