It's darker than the local average, but there are plenty of Greeks and Italians who are at least that dark.<BR/><BR/>I think it's mostly a contrast effect -- we expect someone with a name like Vania Rangelova to be pale, blond, and blue-eyed, so her darkness stands out even more.
