People will appreciate you if you're visibly wealthy, even if you won your money in the lottery.

Also, adult society is more stratified, so you can be a big fish in a small pond. In contrast, you can't get away from the popular kids in school. You will be compared against them even you don't hang around with them. I bet unpopular kids rip at each other more than popular kids.bilbonoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19346366.post-57544935119108953432010-02-28T19:20:15.360-05:002010-02-28T19:20:15.360-05:00Great post.Great post.Christopherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18300064299643040666noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19346366.post-11812780384150371432010-02-27T22:33:11.503-05:002010-02-27T22:33:11.503-05:00Perhaps happiness also depends upon not having to ...Perhaps happiness also depends upon not having to worry about the bills, or being able to go on a vacation once in a while.Underachievernoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19346366.post-42222229015232822662010-02-27T20:11:08.966-05:002010-02-27T20:11:08.966-05:00The 'kids economically equal thing'?

I have always felt like this was the weak point in the platform of the wealth redistributionists - my firsthand observations growing up refuted the desiribility of their utopia.

Many of the more popular kids at my high school actually came from less affluent families. The greater freedom they tended to enjoy from not having helicopter parents allowed them to socialize more naturally and more than made up for a lack of possessions they didn't earn themselves.Jokah Macphersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04185675633464395897noreply@blogger.com
